Host families are friendly and welcoming people who represent the social-economic environment of the host country that are interested in accommodating students and leaders in their homes. They may be married or unmarried couples with or without children, single parents, retired couples, single men and women
Host families are often recommended by other members of their families, friends or neighbours of existing host families. We have built a large network of loyal and welcoming families over the years in our different centres.
Aspire Cultural Homestay will provide a Meet and Greet service or your host families will take you straight to your accommodation on arrival at any of our centres.
We are able to cater for any of your dietary needs. It is always helpful to pass this information to us promptly in order to inform your host family about your dietary needs in good time.
Your host family should provide one laundry wash per week when required
We will always try to match your requirements with what best fits in with the family’s lifestyle based on the information you provide on the enrolment forms. (Allergies, hobbies, pets, dietary needs) etc
Your child only needs money for personal purchases as all fees for the programme would have been paid for. It depends on what your child intends to buy whilst on holiday and how much you are comfortable to give your child.
Friends can be placed together with the same family provided the request is made known to us before the placements are done. You would have the options to share the same room with separate beds or have a separate room in the same house depending on the host family’s room arrangements
We will change your host family if you are not happy with them. Your reasons for changing will have to be understood and addressed.
This arrangement can be honoured only if the host family will be hosting an adult guest.
English Language Courses FAQ's
Cultural programmes are from 2 – 7 days.
English Language courses are from 1 - 3 weeks.
As a good knowledge of English is essentially important for those who want to work or travel in an International environment, the best way of gaining the confidence and speaking English fluently is by learning the language in an English speaking country.
You can enrol for an English Language Course from the age of 11 to 17 years old (older students can be accepted on a special arrangement).
All our students are supervised by their school group leaders, qualified teachers or activity leaders. Many of our teachers and leaders have worked for Aspire Cultural Homestay for many years and know our expectations of making sure the students are safe. Our large network of carefully selected host families also ensure the smooth running of our programmes by looking after the daily needs of the students in our care.
Students will usually have an English test to establish their level of ability in order to place them in similar tutorial groups to get the most benefit from the lessons. The principal objective of these lessons are to assist students to communicate and express themselves clearly, by increasing their confidence and fluency and working with variety of sources with a maximum of 15 students in a classroom.
Our centres are in Rochester, Gravesend and Eltham.
A member of our local organisers will take your child to the medical centre, the hospital, the optician or the dentist if the need arises.
It is paramount that your child travels with the adequate medical insurance to the UK.
In order to receive free treatment in England, it is necessary for members of the European Union to have an European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) whilst visiting the UK.
It is important to have your travel insurance in place before leaving your home country. If you do not have an insurance policy, we can arrange cover for an additional fee if necessary. Please contact us for details.
Aspire Cultural Homestay provides all teaching materials. Test papers, exercise book for taking notes, pens and folders are all provided.
There are a maximum of 15 students per class for the General English Stays.
For the Club 4, there are 4 students to 1 teacher.
The one to one’s are taught by having one student to one teacher
